Epson printer cant recognize my genuine ink cartridge?

i tried replacing my yellow ink but my printer still wont recognize it as genuine... so i cant print anything... why is this happening n wat to do?Epson printer cant recognize my genuine ink cartridge?
Before trying anything else, I'd recommend that you turn off the printer and unplug it from the electric outlet. Wait about 30 seconds and then plug it back in. This should reset the printer.

If that doesn't work, you may need to clean the area of your printer that connects with the yellow ink cartridge. Some detailed instructions can be found here:

Lastly, if nothing else is working, you could have a defective ink cartridge there. In which case I'd suggest returning the cartridge.Epson printer cant recognize my genuine ink cartridge?
To prevent the printer showing ';no inks'; or “not recognize”, please try to follow these instructions below:

1) Turn on the printer; take out the old used cartridges

2) Turn off the printer for a few minutes

3) Turn on the printer, when it says ';insert inks';, and then insert the compatible cartridges one by one, making sure the cartridges are sitting completely in the slots.

Please shake the cartridges and use the alcohol cloth to clean the cartridge head.
Epson has worked so hard at making their printers reject compatibles that they often reject genuine Epson. Part of the problem is that Epson keeps reprogramming the chips on their printers and cartridges. Sometimes a cartridge from one batch just wont work with cartridges from a different batch. Sometimes its just a defective chip. Try taking all the cartridges out, shutting off the printer, turning it back on and putting them all in.

I also once had a printer with a sliver of a chip stuck to the pins where the printer touches the cartridge. This made it fail to recognize the cartridge. I also had one which refused to recognize any cartridge and had to go back to Epson. So good luck.

When you get it working, try http://ccs-digital.com for Epson ink at under $3 a cartridge and hold 66% more ink than Epson. They have a unique product - a 2 piece cartridge where the ink is in its own separate tank. When it's empty, you pop in a new tank and keep going. The chip resets to full automatically. Since you know this chip has already been recognized by your printer, you should never have this problem.
You have to bye a genuine new ink cartridge. Epson printers have a sensor in the cartridge ,so when it get finish you can't refill by our own ,so it should be given to the Epson company
Epson sucks
