MAN epson sucks.Printer ink help!! it's not empty!?
OMFG I had this same printer and had the exact same problem but it was the black ink, I ended up getting pissed and returned it after several troubleshooting attempts and working with their indian customer service. Do yourself a favor and get a new printer.

I even had em send me a brand new ink cartridge it still didn't work. Too bad too it would of been a nice cheap scanner/printer setup.Printer ink help!! it's not empty!?
I believe you get 1 year manufactures warranty on printers bought in a retail store, so if you qualify, call epson for technical support.

If not, you can try and replace the printer heads of the cartridges for they could have dried up since it is in fact an ink jet printer.
Epson counts the number of pages you print and then ';declares'; the cartrige ';empty'; whether it is empty or not. This is done via the little chip that is on each cartiridge. If you are refilling the cartridges yourself, you need to also reset the chip during refilliing, or the cartridge will still tell the computer thati it is ';empty.';

BTW, my personal experience with Epson color cartriges is that they don't refill well. The compatibles do work well, and are about 1/5 the price. The reason refilling color in Epson does not work well is because the nozzles of the typical Epson printer are finer than most machines. The ink required, therefore, must pass through an extreemly small nozzle. The refill inks typically are not fine enough and will eventually clog your nozzles. I will list my favorite souce for compatibles below.
your printer must be used atleast once in a week. else the ink will become solid. try using a new catridge. take it to the company which refilled it. ask their suggestion also. BOL . keep me posted
