How can u tell which printer ink type is almost gone?

m get warning msg. about ink almost gone but no specifics.

The only way to tell with an all in one color cartridge is to watch what you have used most. I found blue to be the one that normally ran dry first. When my printer got outdated I made sure I purchased one with individual colors. They will report which one is empty. Some are reported to say empty when there is still as much as 30% remaining. Check CNet reviews for a guide to different printers, especially operation cost per page.
