I would just get new cartridges from DELL. If you are doing alot of printing, consider a printer that has cheaper cartridges. This could save you a TON of money. I recommend Canon. The cartrides are MUCH cheaper. The printing is BETTER. Since the color cartridges are separate, you don't waste any ink when just one color goes dry. You will probably find that it pays for itself after just 8 cartridge sets. (maybe sooner)Dell printer ink refill's?
You can use an generic refill kit for the dell inkjet printers. The cheapest and most common would be a product by the name of nu-kote, which is sold at most Wal- Marts for about $14 for the color kit and $10 for the black counterpart.
