i have ran out of blue ink and need to print in black but it wont let me how can i make it print in only black.............How can i make my epson stylus DX 4800 printer in only black ink ?
You can't, it uses all three of your colours to darken and sharpen the black. Also the additional ink acts as a cushion and coolant in the printer head to protect it from damage while printing.
You do need to replace the Cyan cartridge if you want the printer to work again.

Sorry, Juggy. You can't. Your printer needs a full set of cartridges, with some ink in each of the cartridges, to print any colour.
