How come my printer won't stop flashing ';ink'; when I just put in a new cartridge?

Sometimes after you install the ink cartridge, you have to go into the printer's software and do some diagnostics before the light stops flashing.

You may be required to do an allignment test to make sure that the cartridge is seated correctly, but most of the time if you just get in there then click off whatever you are asked to do, it will be fine. How come my printer won't stop flashing ';ink'; when I just put in a new cartridge?

With most printers you have to use the printer software to ';tell'; the printer that you have inserted a new cartridge. I'd give you more specific info, but without knowing the make of your printer it'd be quite difficult. You can try using the ';help'; portion of the printer's software program to see if you can find the correct procedure. Good Luck.
You may need to run the Cleaning procedure. Sometime after replacing the cartridge some of of old ink still stuck in the nozzles. By running the cleaning cycle you can clear out the ink and allow the new ink to get to the printhead.
