i have a HP photosmart 4400 and i need black and color ink. when i look at websites that sell it, they have numbers on them like 21, 95 etc..whats the difference? and for listings that show a certain cartridge is for the photosmart series it doesn't have my number. why is this? thanks so much.
(also, whats a good site to order cheap ink from?)Printer ink confusion?
HP has a bazillion models of printers, and thus makes different cartridges for different ones. There are also b%26amp;w, regular color, and photo cartridge for those later photo printers. Getting the right one is important to get the best output.
Best way to look up which cart you printer needs is go to HP's website, enter the model number in the support area, and it'll tell you right off what you need.Printer ink confusion?
If you do not have a genuine printer cartridge, simply take the sticker off your previous genuine cartridge and replace the one on your new cartridge. The square code is what the printer reads to determine genuineness. Stick it to the man! Report Abuse
According to HP's web site - your photosmart takes 74/75 cartridges.
