ink and then my computer would tell me how much ink I have left, with a little diagram with
';bottles'; filled, one for black and one for color.
But recently I decided to buy ink from a
different manufacturer because it was considerably cheaper; the ink is great, but
my computer still shows me the diagram of
an empty black and empty color cartridge,
even though its now full.
How do I tell my computer that there really
is ink in the printer now??
I am a fairly new user, so please forgive my
obvious ignorance. Thanks for any help
you could provide....Printer ink question, please help.......?
did you really jsut buy ink (like refilling the cartridge) or the whole cartridge from the other supplier?
I assume the later here: It is cheaper because it is a copy of the original cartridge instead of a ';real'; one. These can have trouble in reporting the ink level to the PC - since oyu know it is full anyway, check if you can switch off the automatich ink control so it lets you just print... I am not sure if all models will let you do that thoughPrinter ink question, please help.......?
Well my moms dead and my dad told me all kids do this and its perfectly normal. I though it was rather strange though. He also mad me show him when i got my first erection Report Abuse
It's possible that the ink you bought, while compatible with the printer, does not support identifying the level of the contents in the cartridge. I'd recommend reading your users guide for this, there may be a method to trick it.
Ignorance is true.
Why dont you ask god to fix it fatty?
In most cases of using non-originals, you cannot reset the ink levels. This is because the printer recognizes the cartridge as used. It does not actually measure the amount of ink inside. Printers typically count the number of drop fired from the cartridge and estimates the amount of ink used.
So if you are not using originals, you may have to live with this as a price to pay for cheaper inks.
