you buy a kit.

Look up your cartridge design to figure out where to poke the cartridge in the book that comes with it. poke the cartridge and fill with ink, put some adhesive tape over the hole and your done.

You may need to do some flushing cycles in the printer to get consistent printing after.

I have the IMS kit from costco. about $20 for two bottles of black, one of cyan magenta, yellow, photo cyan and photo magenta.

i have been refilling cartridges for many years. i can usually refill a cartridge 5 or 6 times before it's too clogged and i don't get good results anymore.

One word of advice: don't wait until the cartridge is empty to refill it, you'll get better mileage with it.

also: some cartridges (epson but some other brands too) have a chip on the cartridge to make it remember if it's empty and prevent you from refilling it. There are devices to reset some of the brands.

I would advise against trying to refill your own cartridges. While it can definitely save you money, there are more sensible alternatives. I have an HP all-in-one printer, and for years now, I've only used remanufactured ink cartridges with it. I've been very happy with the quality of the print outs. And the cost of these cartridges is significantly less than genuine HP replacements, and only marginally more than the cost of refilling them yourself. There are many online retailers that offer these kinds of cartridges -- maybe try a Google search for ';ink cartridges'; and poke around a bit.
Very messy, and if you are luckily enough to fill them they don't last very long, for the price that you can buy compatible cartridges any thing from 拢2 to 拢2.50 on the internet, I wouldn't bother with refilling them, they will last twice as long as refillable and you don't have the trouble.
I dont know your printer, but look here...
